Tomb of the Undead!

This came from a sketch I did of the great Stacy Walker dressed as a vampire hunter. (the candelabra was made out of cardboard!) I wanted to take it to a more finished piece, sort of a Hammer Films horror poster from the 60's. Stacy battles the undead in the bowels of the catacombs.Punch those lurid colors! Sassy or Sweet

Here are a couple of pieces I've been dabbing at for a while, Bride of the Vampire, and Very Cherry.Similar in presentation (reclined figure) but very different in tone. Photoshop/digital paint combos, a lot of fun to see how different I can make them.

Gothic

"Lady Westerly,riding out to the old cemetery at the edge of Dunsden Moor, discovers an open, empty grave under the ancient oak tree as the crows begin to gather..." I don't really have a solid story for this one, I just thought I'd get in the Halloween mood. Boo.

Vampires!

Okay, so boredom drives us to art sometimes. Someone asked me how I start a piece so I thought I'd show the initial sketch and what it turns into. Here's my take on the classic Vampirella character (from memory, I was winging it) that was SO inspirational to young boys in the late sixties (second only to Mrs. Peel, of course!) I thought I'd paint it in B&W like it was gouache.
