Finally something new, a color piece for the fun of it and a couple sketches from drawing workshop.

Still Alive!

It's been really busy at work so not a lot of time for extra art.

Here are a few workshop drawings to fill the void though. I added some tone afterward just because.

Emma Peel Returns!

"Mrs. Peel, you're needed!"(or "We're needed") was how my favorite episodes of The Avengers TV show began. I wanted to do a new tribute piece with a better likeness than the one from a couple years ago. The pose is right from a production still, but how can you improve on Diana Rigg in a leather jumpsuit! A poster-y piece for fun.

The Z That Stands For Zorro

Or a guy dressed as Zorro, but looked a little more like Michael Jackson. I had to bulk him up a bit and give him a mustache, and voila, Zorro! Sort of. Oh, and his sword was a piece of pipe.

Groan. Anyway, new art for my never-ending post-apocalyptic epic. Who doesn't enjoy a great little tank? Close support for our end-of-the-world army. Maybe this will eventually go somewhere.

So I Lied...

I didn't mess with the original, but Photoshop to the rescue! I couldn't let a great pose and costume go to waste.

Steamy

Stacy posed last night as a steampunk heroine with appropriately complex gear. It was hard to simplify, I just wanted to draw all the details. An hour on each pose would have done it, we were doing about 30 minutes each. It's tempting to work back into them later, but the chance of messing it up is high, so leave well enough alone.

Our hoverbike hero, on patrol for baddies in the ruins of the city.

The Mysterious Swordsman

He was only mysterious in that I wasn't quite sure where he was supposed to be from, he had some funky hand and arm armor and no shoes, so who knows. But it worked, so who cares! I'm always just happy to get a few decent drawings out of a session. By about 7:30 PM, I'm starting to burn out and am thinking about going home but can't waste good model time.

Maid Service

Sarah was excellent last night as the French maid.Great character! I borrowed some gray paper from a buddy just to change things up, it worked pretty well on the last pose. Maybe some painting soon.

Va Va Voom!

Ladies and gents, put your hands together for that Siren of the Stage, the Queen of Burly-Q, Miss Va Va Voom!! Complete with cheesy back up band, she'll win your hearts with her sultry and salty song stylings of yesteryear. Please tip your waitress.

Jungle Rebel GWG (Girls With Guns)

Tiffany was back, this time as an Angelina Jolie type jungle action hero in camo with machine gun sorta thing. It was great, just add explosions to taste. Just had time at the end for a 10 minute portrait.
