Dangerous and Demure
Some sketches from the last few weeks. On the demure side, the lovely Debra Haden doing a Bob McGinnis paperback cover. At the dangerous end, 3 sketches of Daniella Traub as Mrs. Peel complete with pistol, and the mysterious Larva as a film Noir assassin. Thanks for the fine posing!

Aliens, Sinbad and the Queen of Evil
We've had some great variety in models and themes in the last few weeks. Keith Klanderrud did a great Sinbad the sailor, Xine Zanillo was super as a colonial marine from Aliens, and Taryn Piana was evil incarnate, or something to that effect. Great costume so theme didn't matter! Thanks to all our great models.

Moulin Rouge 2
The wonderful Sara Streeter returns as a can-can dancer, bringing old Paris to life. At least as I imagine it, haven't been there. I was fairly happy with all the sketches last night (for a change) and only had to do some minor photoshop changes (oops, is that leg a little long?..) Thanks Sara, magnifique!

Eavesdropper
Wow, here's one I thought I had posted a couple years ago, but I guess not. The original 2012 workshop sketch is the lovely Sara Streeter as a French maid. I decided to create an illustration story about a maid working for the french resistance in occupied WW2 Paris. She's listening in at the radio room door, but watch out for the Gestapo coming up the stairs! Will she escape?.... Anyway, my buddy Bob Kato used this in his Drawing Club book (an honor!) and I meant to post it here too, so here it be.

Mother Of Dragons
We had a great new (to us) model for last night, Catherine Weiss, taking on the Mother of Dragons character from Game of Thrones. She's so tall I had problems fitting her on the page! Thanks Catherine.

Rebel Rebel
Marissa Gomez ably playing the part of a teen in trouble, a rockabilly rebel, a greaser gal. Etc. In the color piece, she watches tearfully as her sweetheart strolls off with the head cheerleader. Catfight! Thanks Marissa!

La Dolce Vita
Stacy Walker was great as usual for our Fellini theme, all the right accessories and attitude. The Nino Rota soundtrack was really inspiring as well. We were transported to a film set in 1960s Italy. Ciao!

Apocalypse Warrior
Stacy Walker was our intrepid Apocalypse Warrior a few months back, she came with an amazing assortment of weapons and costume bits to save the world. Thanks Stacy! Who knew the end would come courtesy of giant flying electrically-charged jellyfish? Apparently she did, she looks supremely confident. Workshop sketch and full color rendering done later.
